Privacy

SYVA is a private chef service based in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. This page explains what we do with the information you send us. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form or send us by email or WhatsApp: your name, your email address, the date and location of the event, the number of guests, and whatever you tell us about the occasion — including dietary requirements or allergies, if you choose to share them.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and performance.

What we do with it

• Reply to your enquiry and prepare a menu proposal.
• Organise and cook your event, including buying for any dietary requirements you gave us.
• Keep a record of past events so we do not repeat a menu for a returning guest.

We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Where it lives

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, and forwarded to our email. Email is handled by our mail provider. Both are outside Costa Rica, which means your data may be processed abroad.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within twelve months. Records of completed events are kept for accounting purposes as required by Costa Rican law.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hola@syvacr.com and we will action it within thirty days.
